Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Beatriz Garcia as the Spokesperson for Sustainability. Dr. Garcia, an Associate Professor in the School of Law, Economics, and Business, brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for sustainable practices to this pivotal role. In her new position, Dr. Garcia will lead efforts to promote environmental responsibility and sustainable practices across our academic community. Her leadership is expected to foster a culture of sustainability that not only enhances our institution but also has a positive impact on the broader community. About Dr. Beatriz Garcia
Dr. Beatriz Garcia, serves on the Advisory Board of the MENA Oceans Initiative, a collaborative platform launched at COP28 UAE by Goumbook, in partnership with the UN High-Level Champions Team, United Nations UAE, and the World Green Economy Organization. In this capacity, Dr. Garcia provides expert insights on ocean sustainability, supports the development of policy recommendations and science-based solutions, and fosters cross-sectoral collaboration to advance regional action on marine conservation and climate resilience.
