Bio

For the past 25 years, Sabine Karpf has taught English, German for mother tongue-speakers and German for foreign language learners in various roles and at multiple institutions in 5 different countries.

She holds a Master (distinction) for German Philology and for English and American Studies from the University of Vienna and also completed the degree programme “Teaching German as a foreign Language” there. Furthermore, she holds an M.A. (merit) from the University of Nottingham.

She is pleased to put her profound knowledge and vast experience to good use at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi as Senior German Lecturer for LEA.

In addition to language, literature and linguistics, she is very interested in pedagogy, didactics and how to deal with learning inhibitors, which led her to complete a formation as a dyslexia therapist. She remains very invested in this field, which already made her part of the support team at ESRM, Bad Vilbel, Germany and now led to her becoming Inclusion Office here at SUAD.
