Date: Monday 9 December 2024 Time: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Venue: SUAD Campus Open to public Abstract At a time when the issue of climate change is on a global scale, the conference will address the problems that have hit and still hit a North American city like Montreal, located in the province of Québec, Canada. This experience can be a useful source of learning in the context of the rapid transformations of cities in the United Arab Emirates. About the Speaker
Francois Racine
Prof François Racine
An architect and urban planner and professor of urban design at the Department of Urban Studies and Tourism at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in Québec, Canada, since 2014. His research focuses on the evolution of urban design approaches in Montreal since 1956 and their impact on the transformation of the city's urban morphology. He also works on participative urban planning and codesign issues.
