Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi congratulates Professor Mathieu Tillier on being awarded the Sheikh Zayed Book Award under the category “Arab Culture in Other Languages” for his book titled “L'invention du cadi : La justice des musulmans, des juifs et des chrétiens aux premiers siècles de l'Islam”. The annual award is one of the Arab World's most prestigious and well-funded prizes. Professor Tillier is a Professor of Medieval Islamic History at Sorbonne Université (Paris) and a regular visiting professor at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. His award-winning book is an important contribution to the field of Islamic history, and a testament to his dedication to academic excellence.
