Bio
Dr. Salem Boubakri is an Associate Professor of economics at Sorbonne University of Abu Dhabi since 2013. He received a Ph.D. of economics in 2010 from the University of Paris Nanterre in France. In 2020, he completed his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) in Economics at the University Grenoble Alpes in France.
He has published extensively on a broad range of topics, including financial markets, financial integration, exchange rate regimes, asset management risk, climate change and commodity markets. His contributions to international economics and finance are reflected in publications in leading peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of International Money and Finance, the Journal of Macroeconomics, the Journal of Empirical Finance, and Emerging Markets Review.
He also has attended several national and international conferences in international economics and finance. Indeed, he has presented his work at various international conferences (Conference of the Canadian Economic Society, African Econometric Society, International Business Research Conference, etc.), as well as French conferences such as the Annual Congress of the French Economic Association (AFSE).
