Biographie
Proscovia Svärd is an Associate Professor at the Department of History and the Head of the Master Programme in Records Management and Archival Sciences at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. She was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the School of Multidisciplinary Research and Post-Graduate Studies, University of South Africa (UNISA) (2016-2017). She completed her PhD at the University of Amsterdam. She has a Licentiate Degree in Data and Systems Sciences, BA and MA in Archives and Information Science from Mid Sweden University, Sweden and a BSc in Media and Information Science from Uppsala University, Sweden. Before joining Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, she worked as Associate Professor at Mid-Sweden University, Institute for Information Systems and Technology, Mid Sweden University between 2019 – 2022. Prior to that she worked as Senior Lecturer at the School of History and Contemporary Studies, Södertörn University, Huddinge, Sweden between 2014 – 2018. She has also been affiliated to the University of South Africa, Pretoria as a Research Fellow since 2015 – 2024.
