As part of its commitment to sustainability and ocean preservation, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi has designated 2025 as the Year of the Ocean. Through dedicated marine research initiatives as well as academic and outreach initiatives, the university underscores the vital importance of preserving marine ecosystems and promoting sustainable ocean practices.
This university-wide initiative supports the development of strategies to conserve marine biodiversity and promote sustainable use of our oceans, undertaken by the Ocean Institute.
